Would love to see the whole system package cost when they come out later this year. I will be in the market to upgrade by Xmas.

Jim Keller, one of the best CPU designers in the world, led the AMD team to design the Zen chip. He was at Tesla and came back to AMD just to do the Zen stuff. He's now back at Tesla.

The whole architecture was designed from scratch. One of the engineers on the team spoke out and basically said we, the consumers, won't be disappointed.

I'm in need of an update too. I'm holding off to see how Zen performs. All else aside, Zen is the most exciting news in the CPU world in a long while. I hope Zen lives up to the expectations.
