Steam desktop server browser

Hey just wanted to let everyone know you can pull up your server browser for steam while on your desktop and not in a game, that way you can check the status of any server you have favorited in a Source Engine game.
(Source Server Browser is also formally known as HLSW - Half Life Server Window)


Step 1: Open your steam library and look for the view button in the far far upper left corner of the window

Step 2: Click on view and select Servers from the drop menu

Step 3: Be able to check all the servers on your favorites for any game with the steam server browser in it

Yeah no prob, i totally didnt even notice it was there till a year ago or so lol, but its perfect for a quick check of everything.

You can also add it to your quick links menu when right clicking your steam icon thats pinned to your task bar.

1: Click steam then settings in the drop menu.

2: Click the interface tab on settings page and click the taskbar preferences button.

3: Make sure Servers check box is checked.

4: Right click the steam icon thats pinned to your taskbar and click servers for the browser from then on, which is only 1 click less then going to view on the steam window but ehh why not lol.
